Allison Borchardt completed her BCur Degree in Nursing & Midwifery from the University of Stellenbosch in 2007. She has an extensive background as a midwife and neonatal ICU specialist nursing sister, working in both public and private sectors. Her career later transitioned into clinical research at the University of Stellenbosch, where she contributed to foetal alcohol syndrome research, studying the effects of alcohol on developing foetuses.
